Note the large diameter of the bar he does the super pullups on. Makes it a
lot harder.
Ditto the ledges he grabs--tremendous finger/hand strength.
Altho a skinny mutt, I'll bet he can bp 225+.
Would be interesting to see what he does with this talent.

| | | Re: How many of you can do this? When I was young I could do all that...and I couldn't bench all that much
either. When I was 35 I could still hop up a wall, catch the edge of the top
and throw myself on top...
I worked in a mobile home factory back then, and I used to freak out my
boss and others by doing this: OK the long mobile home frames, at close to
the end of the line in the factory, were "boxes", almost complete. This is
where we installed the sheet-metal tops. From the top of the home down to
the mezanine below (where we walked along to screw down the edges of the
top) was probably a drop of about 6 feet, with the railing (railing so you
wouldn't fall off backward from the mezanine) was about as tall as the top
of the house, and about 5 feet away running parelell with the house...I
found the quickest way to get off the top of the roof was to let myself fall
forward, catching myself in the "push-up" position with my hands on the
railing, (so that my body spanned across the open space between the top and
the mezanine railing) then letting my legs fall to the mezanine floor. If
you can picture that, you'll know why I used to get yelled at about doing
it! At the time it seemed perfectly safe to me, lol...
Now I'm 47 and getting back in shape. I'm actually much stronger than I
was; but I'm much heavier.

ahahAHAH! YES! That's so true. I wonder where he is now. His

And what an amazing quote. I think we're currently witnessing a lot of
good men doing nothing at this stage in American history,

Indeed...
I shuffle quotes from time to time as the mood strikes.
That one appeared to be appropriate for our current (multiple)
situations.

I just learned of the mult-ridiculous dollar wall they built on the
Mexican-U.S. border. Wtf?
We need to annex Mexico and incorporate that country into the United
States. Can't someone speak with Calderón? There's got to be something
that can be worked out.
A wall is simply beyond the pale.

This is obviously some strange new meaning of the word dull that I
haven't encountered before. Come to think of it, that goes for
"correct" too.

It's MUCH cheaper than the alternative. When you count up the bodies and
damaged lives from illegal-immigrant criminals, the cost (on many levels) is staggering.
In Los Angeles, 95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide (which total 1,200 to 1,500)
target illegal aliens. Up to two-thirds of all fugitive felony warrants (17,000) are for illegal
aliens. (2004)
Estimated purely-financial costs for CA alone, in one year alone: $10.5 BILLION: http://www.fairus.org/site/PageServe...suecentersffec
>We need to annex Mexico and incorporate that country into the United

Calderón, and his owners, make lots of money on the illegal trade.
Mexico will collapse. The only thing keeping it afloat are dollars flowing South
in (1) remittances, (2) oil payments, and (3) tourism. #3 will collapse first, as it
becomes more and more dangerous. #1 will collapse if the US ever enforces
immigration law. As for #2, since PEMEX *loses* money due to its own corruption
and inefficiency, upcoming drops in the world oil market will keep even the healthiest
leg of the stool from supporting itself.
The best we can do is insulate ourselves and keep them from dragging us (and
the successful SA economies, like Chile) down with them.

I don't get it.
No, really. Wall and Pink Floyd, yeah, but NOT funny! :-p
Naah, I thought it was "funny" or good word play because when I
Googled the phrase "beyond the pale" I discovered that pale can mean
"A fence enclosing an area." http://www.thefreedictionary.com/pale
So, yeah, when I typed "A wall is simply beyond the pale" it's amusing
to me as pale means fence which is at least a distant cousin to a
wall. :-)

And moreover, *The* Pale was the border of the english-occupied region of
Ireland in the middle ages - like the American wall, it was a
fortification to keep filthy catholic foreigners out of 'our' land. Hence
the history (ish) book link i posted, which makes a pun of its own by
reporting that said foreigners lived "in a pail", which is altogether more
doubtful.

Hell, I had no idea until I Googled "beyond the pale" and the
freedictionary link or other dictionary link popped up in the Google

Just thought that that definition of pale amusingly fit the topic - a
dumb fence on the U.S.-Mexico border.
