Default How Much to Increase Calories Per Week?

Hi,

I just started my HST cycle on Monday, and I'm currently at 2500
calories per day w/ 200 grams protein (I'm ~ 205lbs). I will need to
eat more to support more muscle mass, but I don't want to put on too
much fat. How often and by how much should I increase my caloric
intake? I was thinking of 100 calories every 2 weeks (ie: every new
HST block). Is this ok? If not, what would you recommend and why?

Thanks in advance.

The usual recommendation is an additional 250-500 calories per day,
which works out to be around 1-2 lbs. per week for most people. I
forget the exact math now but I think it's 3500 calories equals 1 pound.

Default This guy Freides is something else!

This is the second, or third time this afternoon (noon for you Americans,
and the next day for Stu and David) were Steve actually offers advice about
training and nutrition.

Everybody else is either posting nonsense, or commenting on that nonsense,
but NOT this guy! Oh no!

He stays on topic, no matter WHAT!

I declare Steve therefore, MFW biggest idiot... EVER!

Any objections?

Do i get a second?

Make a mark on your belt and eat until you swell to that mark.

What? 100 kcal? Are you a rabbit?

Eat until you'll get a bit too fat for your liking, but still tolerable.
And stay there for some year or so. You'll put on muscles much easier
while staying soft with no abs, than when staying cut or yo-yo dieting.
Yo-yo is probably the worst option.

On what do you base your opinion?

As I understand it, Yo-yo is by far the best way to put on muscle.
(by Yo-yo, I mean alternating cutting and bulking cycles)

On experience of people who put on loads of muscles.

No, but you may get skinny fat this way, like plenty of housewives do
all the time.

Yes. It is a yo-yo dieting. No matter how you like to call it.
