Default i am disgusted with the standard of this group

You know, years ago we had ilustrious people in this group. The knowledge
was amazing - we had regulars like TBR, whitedogshitman, and other
luminaries who contributed wonderful posts.Mostly they used their real
names, It used to be fun to post here. Even the trolls were much more
clever than the juveniles in the group nowadays. I am just disgusted. Now
seems mfw abounds with stupid people. I long for the old days when you could
exchange witticisms with fine people who were very clever and new LOTS about
weights and training.
Why:? Why has this group deteriorated to the depths that it has? Who has
driven away the talented people like TBR and others who were really smart.
Was it Charles?
I just want to drown my sorrows - and I would but I am watching my diet!

I don't know what the big deal is. People move on, you know? Life
circumstances change. Maybe people got married, or are busier at
work, or are returning to school or something. Besides, with all the
fun things to do in our modern society, I'm actually surprised that
anyone bothers checking in to a newsgroup that's supposedly full of
trolls and idiots -- imagine showing up every day at the gym to
complain about the gym falling apart. A very silly, lonely thing to
do!

I can only guess that the luminaries from the golden age of MFW moved
onto more interesting hobbies than arguing on usenet over some study
or other which they didn't conduct and probably don't have the
education to adequately critique.

I think MFW will be a more useful place for newbies -- certainly much
more welcoming -- without the know-it-all blow-hards of years past.
The newsgroup was probably in a state of "overtraining" from them.

I'm not the one getting upset at people for disagreeing with me.

Not my fault you confuse grays with black.

Like I said, I don't claim to be an expert, and I don't scream at
people for their differing opinions.

Now go lift some weights. You're even less interesting than one of
Schuh's rants.

For some reason I imagine you sitting at your computer, wearing a pink
boa, when you say something like that. All that is missing is the
cigarette in the long black holder, and a "darling" between cat and All.

It disturbs me. It really does.

Excuse me while I go scrub my eyes with photos of Joey Lauren Adams.

Sorry, we are all out of toasters and bic pens. We do have a large
quantity of Barbie toys with near securely attached magnets though.

On a slightly related note. We had a vendor show up a couple of weeks
ago and bring one of the guys in the office, the one that we refer to as
Governor Yettie, a watermelon. Seemed kinda odd at the time. Come to
think of it it still does.

Recipe:

1 (or 2) shot(s) Tequila
1 shot Triple Sec or Grand Marnier
Juice from one whole lemon or lime (or 1/2 of each depending on
preference, I prefer lime)

Place into a 12 to 16 oz. glass, add 2 or 3 crushed ice cubes.

Fill remaining space in glass with sugar free Lemon Kool-aid.

I'm not kidding. Sugar free lemon Kool-aid makes a great Margarita mix.
It has just the right traces of tartness and bitterness.

Salt rim of glass as desired (I don't).

There are also now sugar free Margarita mixes available at the liquor
store, but they are nowhere near as good. I find them to be too sweet.
I like sour 'ritas.

An alternate yumminess is to use Cranberry juice in place of the
kool-aid to make a Cranberry Margarita, but that is not as low in sugar.

Relegate that one to "treat" status. ;-)

Lucas Buck, you've been replaced.

Thank you! Now where did I put that boa?

Christ, I just went back and reread the post placing "darling" between
cat and All. My neighbors are probably calling the cops from the

We do have a large, think in the multiple cubic foot range, box of
clicky Premera Blue Cross pens from our from our annual increase your
dedcutible meeting. They are very nice. Metal clicky tops and cone
bottoms. They even have the rubber grippy thing where you hold them.

I would be more then willing to ship a few out to you. Got a shipping
address that you feel safe posting? I usually use my wife's work as
there is someone there to accept packages and it is a small family owned
business, so they don't mind.

Ha! ) You're being sarcastic now?

That was intended as the highest compliment, actually. Lucas Buck,
David Cohen, D Wells, and, yes, David, of course. Some great humor
there. And they're not along with the guffaws, chortles, laughs, etc.

I don't know. )

June and July are waiting and August has gone neglected, but any
awards thread or postings are inconsequential when compared to the fun
of reading and writing in this newsgroup. Certainly not definitive,
the awards were/are simply my tip of the hat to the fine scribbling
that goes on here. Despite the days-gone-by woe-is-me isms.

Unnecessary, but the thought is appreciated. ;o)

Ping me with your business address. I'd reciprocate. If I ever see a
boa then I'll know where to send it. Classic.

What's wrong with lead pacifiers and the new Biohazard Barbie? Those
safety groups are simply out of control.

How does that go again? I am powerless over somethingsomething.

HA! That's the best. I love to make people laugh. Typically a jpeg
does the job. My favorite: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...hgeeeenius.jpg

Best get yourself back to lurking. You're not going to gain any
traction in this newsgroup if you maintain civil discourse with the
likes of me. Regardless, appreciated greatly. ;o)

Cohen causes me such inner turmoil it hurts. I have to give him a
certain amount of respect because of what he does for a living, but at
the same time have to hate him for being surrounded by young women in
nurses garb at work. (I think the jealousy is understandable considering
that I have just told you I work with someone we call "Governor Yettie".)

Hmm. Young women in nurses garb.

I'll have to add that to my list of resentments.

Duh. That should have been "they're not alonE with the ... laughs,
etc."

I missed mentioning Tom Anderson who also provides great information
in addition to hearty laughter.

Typo. My bad.

John, I'm guessing, in what some might call a daring combination of
the disturbing and his own personal fantasies, keeps that particular
url nearby at all times. Perhaps taped to his monitor for ready
reference. John (seemingly, hey, you tell me) looooooves my nipples.
"Not that there's anything wrong with that," as the saying goes.

Yes, it's important to me to state directly my sincere support of
John's apparent hobby of paying attention to my chest. Another example
of John's assumed hobby might be in order: http://www.rustyiron.net/curtinfl.jpg

Stunning craftsmanship, John.

I'm sure everyone here agrees there's absolutely *nothing* wrong with
spending one's free time playing with another man's nipples. Robert?
Hmm. Kill file. No matter. Safe to say that 'bert would call anyone
daring to nix John's apparent hobby as homophobic bigots. Kudos to
'bert, naturally.

And to John, keep up the good work. I do love attention and through
your efforts I'm certainly not lacking for it. ;o)

What part of my post to you consider to be incoherent or not lucid that

ha ha! armpit farts. Good one. I can do farts pressing the palms of my hands
together - I can actually play notes

True. I can't deny I had an urge to do that. But that doesn't necessarily
mean that I had imbibed (by the way I NEVER drink before 9AM!)
