a... finally did some good.
Of course it was related to him NOT DOING HIS JOB! http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7539277.stm
And I quote directly from the article:
"The building's janitor said he was glad he had not had the chimney
swept."
Yes, I'm certainly glad the janitor was irresponsible in his duties.
It seems his INaction saved that little girl's life.
Kudos to you, slacker janitor!

fuckin angelo. you can thank charles for hiring him. I told charles he was
just trouble and look now he is being made out to be a hero just for being a
slack arse.
For a start I don't know why we ever needed a janitor. You were doing a fine
job of sweeping up and taking out the rubbish

You said nothing of the sort; if I remember correctly you were anxious
to ingratiate yourself with the useless gobshite because he had a
sister of ample proportions, over whom you were desirous to throw a
leg.
I believe your ambitions in that direction were thwarted but you did
eventually get your leg over, if only with his younger brother!!

About the younger brother - I only later found out about the gender issue -
I thought he was the hirsute younger sister. I was totally embarassed as you
well know.
About Curt, yes I think we have to clip his wings for sure. It all started
when he complained about the pay rise we gave him - remember in 1997? We
offered him a whole package including the Chagrin (which he was stealing
anyway) and that he was no longer asked to work Sundays after he went to
church to to mention $8.57 per week increase. Ingrate, right? |

That's absolutely unfair. I'm writing my congressman, Charles.
Dear Congressman,
They won't let me get drunk at work. Please intercede.

INCREASE?
The last I checked, you were paying me $7.12 per week. Period. Not an
increase, David, but total weekly salary! If I have to make ends meet
by selling stolen Chagrin then so be it.

oh fer heavens sake! NOW I know why you get peeved. You ask your friends and
they get paid a lot more than you do and you wonder why. That;s only natural
and there is an explanation. You get paid with AFTER tax dollars!! You don't
have to pay tax on that $7,12!! In fact Charles just empties his pocket of
loose change once a week and we pick out your salary from that! One
complaint though Curt is when you sell the stolen Chargrin we are supposed
to SPLIT the take, no?

In other news, Alexander Solzhenitzhin died at age 87.
(Googles "alexander, russian author, death")
Okay. Wrong! He was 89. So much for my memory. But I almost spelled
his name correctly without looking!
(pats self on back)
"Alexander Solzhenitsyn, the Soviet dissident writer and Nobel prize
winner who revealed the horror of Stalin's brutal labour camps to the
world, has died at the age of 89, his son said last night. Stepan
Solzhenitsyn said his father had died of heart failure at his home,
but declined further comment.
The author whose books chronicled the horrors of the Soviet gulag
system was lauded as a moral and spiritual leader as well as one of
the greatest writers of his time. His unflinching accounts of torment
and survival in the Soviet Union's slave labour camps riveted his
compatriots, whose secret history he exposed. His writings earned him
20 years of exile and international renown, making him one of the most
prominent dissidents of the Soviet era and a symbol of intellectual
resistance to communist rule.
His monumental work the Gulag Archipelago, written in secrecy in the
Soviet Union and published in Paris in three volumes between 1973 and
1978, is the definitive work on Stalin's camps, where tens of millions
perished."
