Default Kraft Fat Free Cheddar Cheese

Mmmmm.....my favorite when im not into protein drinks. Its the shredded
cheddar cheese stuff in a bag. Usually in the dairy foods aisle.

360 calories & 72 grams of protein per bag.

yum yum. (honestly it tastes like rubber bands)

I think if you examine the label carefully it says "cheese food
product". Which gets one out of three right, anyway.

Which is weird, because some of the best cheese i eat in the UK is
Canadian - there's a Canadian cheddar that Sainsbury's sells that's really
good. Tell me, how much would "an arm and a leg" be, for the good stuff?

A 540g block here goes for approximately $7.50 CDN. Occasionally it goes on
sale for $4.44 a block.

With the exception of cheeses like Mozzarella, Emental, Colby, Jarlsburg, etc,
most are above $8.00 per 100g

to me, that's expensive.

The stuff i like (Tesco Canadian Extra Mature Cheddar - not Sainsbury's as
previously reported) costs me 3.99 for a 500g pack. That's 8.04 CAD - or
1.61 cents per gram. You pay 1.39 cents per gram, so actually a bit less.
I think this is an acceptable price - it's not cheap, but it's highly
enjoyable cheese. And i guess being a Brit means i'm used to paying
enormous prices for food.

You have to mean $8.00 per 1 kg, surely?
