Default Looking for a quality home gym 82 inches or less high

Greetings,

For the past three years I've made excelllent use of my Landice Pro
Sports Trainer Treadmill. But now I've developed some "upper body
flab" despite being in shape and I am seriously considering purchasing
a home gym. Trouble is, the room I want to put it in has a ceiling
that is 82 1/2 inches high. Most of the home gyms I've seem are 83
inches high. I have seen an inexpensive Trion Fitness Model 100 gym
that would fit (I believe it is Omnifitness' house brand) and I've
been told that some of Bowflex's models would fit, though I have yet
to find a local dealer in the Queens/Nassau County area of New York
City.

I'm primarily interested in building my upper body muscles (chest,
arms, abs etc) with the gym.

Can anyone offer any suggestions as to what I might consider looking
at? When I was looking for a treadmill, I bought a $3,000 Landice and
I've never regretted it. I LOVE my treadmill. I hope to feel the same
way about my home gym. But it has to fit.

Just to give you an idea of the room, it's 82 1/2 inches high, has
about 60" of width available (though the room is 86" wide. Length
doesn't matter.

Thanks for your opinions.

Bob

You have been obviously brainwashed by the marketing folks. Those birds
nests of cable and pulleys are called home gyms. Instead they are
overpriced, ineffective piles of crap.

If you want some effective exercise equipment, get a power rack, and an
olympic barbell set. That will get you started. And unlike those liars you
are talking about, this is a real home gym.
