| | | MFW 2008 - a new beginning? It is clear from all the tentative posts from many former "old
regulars" that there is a clear desire for a resurgence of that which
once was.
All that is required to 'revive' MFW, is for people to post with an
open mind and to forget events of the past, either real or imagined,
and get on and enjoy what could and should be a very amusing and
knowledgeable forum.
However, it is clear that hostility will only be met with hostility,
and it is equally clear that all attempts at exclusion, including
calls to "killfile" people, will only breed hostility.
It's as simple as that really. I for one would really enjoy seeing the
Group getting back to doing what it did best, which for me used to be
informing and entertaining people. I enjoy lively banter and sharp
repartee with the best of them, but you will be aware that I don't
like bullies and will resist them with some vigour.
It is apparent that we are perhaps on the brink of a new beginning -
let's make it so!
Have a great weekend lads and lasses - you know I intend to!! ;o) |

Dunno Charles - I would like to let bygones be bygones, new start and all
that. But Lee Michaels, around 2 years ago called me something not very
nice. The fact is (and it can be googled) he called me a "nimkompoop" - A
person doesnt forget a slur like that easily. And Dally, not long after
that, called me a 'meanyhead'. That was after I suggested that she was not a
"real" athlete. So I think it is too late for me. I can't easily forget
things like that. |

Hey mother fucker, since when did you get so sensitive. Sounds like she knew
you!!
So if we are going to start a new/old group you are going to have to get use
to people telling it like it is, "Nimkompoop"

Well fine for you, nobody called you a 'meany head'.
I forgot to mention that I had made the observation that Lee Michaels brain
would rattle around in a gnats arse like a BB in a boxcar. That;s when he
called me that mean name.

I'd consider it, but then I'd lose the overtime I'm earning by doing
this. I can use the money at time and a half. ;-) I may whine about it

Nope. I work night shifts. That carries some extra responsibility. <g>
It's one reason I generally try to get out of jury duty, altho' I did
managed to get caught for it this year. Fortunately it was only for 3

The only constant is change, Charles. No disrespect intended, but it's

Uh, nevermind!
I've got 16 hours at time and 1/2 this payday.
But, "extra money" is an oxymoron!

If it's good money and you get to spend more time in full scuba, what's

It's just a matter of a couple of people mastering their stubborn
pride for the sake of the Group. If they can't or won't then we are
better off without them!
Good to hear from you John and glad to hear that you are really
enjoying your SCUBA diving. It's a long time since I last ventured
into the depths and with a very busy schedule both socially and
commercially, I can't see that changing in the near future.
However, I'm flying down to Malta in September for a long weekend with
a chum who has a villa on Gozo, so I may see if we can get a dip then.
Some great clear dives to be had in those waters.
Take care mate and have a great Sunday - you know I intend to! ;o) |

I'm a tech diver, not a commercial diver. I have literally spent over
$12,000 in the last year on diving. It's a very expensive sport. |

<lol> Ok, I don't dive very often so just use my old gear, and have not
travelled.
I understand tho' about expensive hobbies. My reloading gear ran me
around $800.00 and I've got $1,400 in my Bushmaster AR-15 hunting rifle.
The varmint hunting trip in April ran me around $600.00 (most of that
for ammo) and we only went to Hereford texas.
So many hobbies, so little time and money!
