Default Middle Back pain while on treadmill

Hello guys

Just wondering if any of you have any clues or ideas, based on your
experience, why would my middle back hurt while I'm joking on a treadmill ?
First it feels like burning sensation on the right side of my spine, than it
feels like muscle clamp which lasts for couple of hours after the exercise.

I have been working hard to lose my weight for 5 months now. Mixing free
weights training with lots of cardio. Weights in the morning following by
cardio (40 min to an hour), and one more cardio session by evening (40 min
to 1h) I have lost close to 20 kgs in past 5 months and had all kind of pains
from feet to calves, lower back, but they all went away eventually. I did not
want to stop because I love the results and I'm really determine to get rid
of my big fat ass but the pain I'm having now it's getting hard to tolerate.

Perhaps some kind of stretching I could do ?
I would appreciate your feedback or suggestions.

Thank you very much for reading.
Best regards

Sebastian

The best, most user-friendly book on stretching I know is Pavel's "Relax
Into Stretch", see http://www.kbnj.com/ris.htm. Given your complaints,
his joint health book, see http://www.kbnj.com/sj.htm, is also probably
a good read for you. The two make a great pairing because there are
some similar movements in both (some but by no means all or even most)
and by learning the different ways to approach a similar movement, you
will learn a lot about how to use your body.

See your doctor to make sure everything is OK.

20 kg is a lot of weight to lose - congratulations on that. Jogging can
be hard on the legs and back but it is easier when you're lighter, which
may explain why some of the discomfort has gone away, but there is such
a thing as good form and technique when running, and not practicing it
can lead to injuries that will mean you'll have to stop running
permanently. You might consider asking, after you've seen your doctor,
on news:rec.running about some of these things, in particular about
learning about good running technique.

Last but not least, there are many ways to drop unwanted bodyfat besides
running, so give some of them consideration as well.

I'm sure you think there was a point to your message as well as, no
doubt, a point to the top of my head.
