I got back into lifting in Jan 07, still going strong (and my wife does
every workout with me - even after 3 months solid). It's awesome to throw
the iron around with her, she motivates me to keep making progress.
I started working out 6 days a week - split training (mon - sat). Starting
in April we went to a 5 day split routine, which has worked really well so
far.
Typically we do allot of free weights (dumbbells), and some machine &
cable - because the wife especially enjoys the pec-deck and cable
pushdowns
etc..
My recovery time is good, some light soreness the next day but nothing
significant. I had some elbow pain when doing ez bar curls, but since I
started using lifting gloves (that have wrist wraps) I've been solid.
I've added just over 1 inch to each arm , but this makes me wonder 2
things:
1) What exercises should I focus on to really bring out the peak in my
biceps?
2) For triceps, progress has been slow.. I normally do overhead tricep
extensions with dumbbell, cable pushdowns. What exercises should I add or
change to really jump start my tricep growth (I can see the outer portion
of
the tricep "horseshoe" but the inside portion hasn't really responded
much.???
TIA,
_Bigred
