I'll read it, or at least skip through it. I hate kettelbellists for
their stupid, childish party jokes (let's kill 20 millions people, that
will be fun!) but they sometimes stumble upon things I'm interested in.

Although I'd LOVE to point you to the Resveratrol thread, the INBA
thread, etc., I'll agree with you due to my penchant for "MJW is a
frigging DICK" threads.

I've got a new job and it is keeping me extra busy. So I probably
missed quite a bit. I suppose that you could say that I just popped
in for a bit of Schuh baiting. I tried reading some of the other
threads, but they all just degenerated into personal attacks on JMW.

New job? Congratulations, Jason.
But with the same company? Just asking because I want to know if I
should change my mental imagery of you, your office, and your
kettlebell greeting all your visitors.

In some respects, I'll guess that MFW is a soap opera. You can skip for
years and come back to the same thing:
Schuh: "YOU ANONYMOUS SUCH AND SUCH! VERIFY THAT? SPAM SUUUUCKS!"
JMW: "Telomerase, telomerase, telomerase, telomerase, telomera..."
Hobbes: [insert informative, intelligent, etc.]
DZ: [insert humor, indeciperable commentary, and/or wmv of incredible
feat of athleticism]
Pete: "And this one time, at the mosque..."
Wait, I have that wrong.
Ah, well, what else is new?

But they weren't written in English?
But they didn't include enough about kettlebells?
But there was no mention of deadlifting?
But there... wasn't... enough... s a r c a s m????

No it's a different company. However, through a truly bizarre series
of events I am still in the same office. My new boss leased the same
office space that my previous employer had used.
I'd go into details, but my previous employer is a good friend of
mine, and the story doesn't really reflect well on him.

That's nearly perfect. You missed Freides and his kettlebells.

I'm bilingual.

How much information about kettlebells do you really need. I love my
kettlebell, but using a kettlebell is hardly rocket science. You
can't add weight without purchasing a new kbell. Even if you do have a
wide array of kbells (or a kettlestack) you probably can't add weight
in small increments.
The sum total of all useful kbell information fits in one sentence.
Take your kbell and snatch it for reps.
> But there was no mention of deadlifting?
Let me guess, Pete still believes that deadlifts don't work the legs.

sarcastic, wasn't it.

Ah-ah-ah!
I didnt say that!
I said that the dominant joint was the hip, and that, because there is a
shift of centre of gravity, compared to squats, the lower back and traps
work VERY hard.
Of course, the leg muscles do some work, because one of the prime movers is
the knee joint.
But dominant, no.

Now THAT has got to be filed under the "Who'da thunk it?" section of
employment trivia.

The "I think he's swell" part or the "personal attacks" degeneration
part?

The long story is even weirder, and I think that I can spin it enough
so that it doesn't put anyone in too bad a light. Basically, one
Wednesday at 5:00 pm the boss comes in and says that the owner is
pulling the plug. The last paycheck was to be on Friday. This wasn't
entirely unexpected, the business was a startup, and it wasn't exactly
going gangbusters. That's part of the reason that I had another job
lined up. I was really only hanging around because it looked like the
company might get sold, which would help out the owner (who is a
friend of mine).
So on Thursday and Friday I set it up with my new employer to start
immediately and then I simply sat back and prepared for a Disneyland
vacation I had planned some time ago.
When I got back from the vacation I found out that my first job hadn't
cashed out the vacation time they owed me when they closed down the
shop, and when I asked the owner about it he said that it was because
he didn't consider me terminated. I was still an employee of his
company and I was simply getting my paychecks deferred until after the
sale of the company. What's more, my next task was to write about 100
pages of documentation so that the sale could go through.
Meanwhile my new employer even paid me for the time I was on vacation
despite the fact that he didn't owe me any time. I think I am going
to like working for him.
Like I said, my old employer is a buddy of mine, and I didn't really
feel like just telling him to shove off. I did make it perfectly
clear that I wasn't doing a single solitary thing for my former
company until they cashed out my vacation. My former employee sold an
Internet company at the height of the bubble and I've seen him wager
more money than I make in a month on a single hole of golf. I could
understand him shutting down the company with little warning, it's not
like he's so hard up for cash that I was willing to give up my accrued
vacation. It's bad enough getting two days notice. Getting negative
8 days notice is intolerable.
To top things off I ended up landing in the same office as before,
further complicating things.
On the plus side when the company sells I will get paid as if I worked
full time for both jobs for several months. It should make a nice
Christmas bonus. I might even actually write the documentation they
want.
Anyway, this story should make it pretty clear why I haven't been
posting much. My deadlifting has stalled a bit too, but I hope to get
back on track this week.

Only someone of your distinguished aplomb would know that aplomb could
