Default persistent tendinitis

Hello

I have had right biceps area soreness for about 4 months, during which
I have had to curtail all weights activity after 10 years of regular
weights work.
It stil refuses to subside despite crepe bandaging, and my trying
natural pharmaceuticals like MSM and Glucosamine.
I am beginning to think I will never recover.
Any suggestions?

Hmm, looks like you're gonna have to stop the masturbating!

On a lighter note, have you consulted any sort of physio?

You can eliminate tendinitis through eccentric movement.

I do heavy eccentric curls if my elbow acts up, but I warn you - hurts
like hell to do them.

For four months and you havent seen a doctor about it yet?

Well first of all MSM/Glucosamine is for the joints/cartiledge - not
muscles. Rest, ice, anti-inflammatories for a muscle injury.
Bicipital tendonitis is caused by inflamation of the tissue usually
associated with overuse of the shoulders (rotor cuff/impingement
syndromes) but isolated it could be a muscle tear. Nothing to play
around with and halfass nurse yourself.

*just google 'bicipital tendonitis, bicipital groove, bicipital
inflamation' for more info - then go see a doctor ...

To joanne

Thank you so very much for all that.

(Regarding MSM, I thought it had a benficial effect on soft tissue
injuries too)

Look for a good orthopedic surgeon's opinion first. Soreness can be a
result of a number of causes you might not have a clue of. Would not be
surprised if Novocain-cortisone injections and time were the cure if only
soft tissues are involved.
