Default poll: sternum snap,crackle, pop

The pain from my injury about 4 or 6 weeks ago has been gone for sometime,
but I still get a crack in my sternum each morning. Kind of like cracking
your knuckles. I haven't been doing any bench presses or dips since then.

Poll... how many of us have noisy sternums?

Did I respond in that thread? It sounds familiar...

After each of my two sternum injuries (not really the sternum but the
cartilagenous joints joining to it) it took a fuck of a long time to
stop cracking. I really had to take it easy. Even lower body work proved
very problematic (squats and deadlifts). When it stops hurting and
popping, you're healed. If it drags on, you're doing too much still to
let it heal.

How long was that?

Honestly, it has always popped from time to time. I was hit in the chest
with a softball in 5th grade and it has popped since then. But not
everyday.. like it does now.

Poll still goes on.. I really wonder how many other's pop. I did a quicky
search on google groups and found that some sternums do this. I know my
increase in cracking/popping is from that damn injury last month. So I'm
taking it easy.
