Powertec

I have just purchased and installed a Powertec Work Bench Multi System and think that I might have discovered a fault in the manufacture.

Firstly, I have to say that the machine is outstanding, both in terms of build quality and ease of use.

The problem concerns the orientation of part no 25 ("U" shape arm LP).

Assembly Five of the WB-MS manual, suggests that the U shape section is slightly offset in terms of its' attachment to part 134 (Linkage tube). The drawing suggests that the shorter section of the U is towards the squat station, whilst the longer section points towards the pressing station.

This is where my problem occurs, in that in order to comply with the diagrams, the triangular attachment eyes are now on the top of the U shape section and not underneath.

I have tried turning the bracket upside down in order to have the attachment points on the bottom of the U shape section, however this results in the U shape being offset in terms of the leg extension/pulldown station.

I would be grateful if there is anyone out there with the same bench who might have had the same problem and could advise me if the manufacturers/distributors did anything to rectify the situation.
