There is nothing wrong with tuba Curt. John is constantly attacking
me for being a wrestler in high school. I played lots of sports
starting from a very young age. I was trying to get a feel what John
did in school. I suspect he didn't do anything at all. If so than
my applied knowledge of training far exceeds his.

I am not trolling Will. John was talking about raw sugar. I
suggested more complex sugars in real food where a better alternative.
You get other benefits from those food and are less likely to consume
too much.

I think some of the new discoveries do have benefits. They just don't
have a full grasp of what they mean yet. One big issue in their data
is the subjects used and the length of study. They tend to pick
beginners which can have very different results than experienced
lifters. And since most anything works for a short period of time the
results are often misleading.

Not close? What percentage of body fat is John in this picture:

THANK GOD!

I was terribly concerned.

Seriously, I was just kidding on that part, Shute.

A dick? A jerk? A controlling crybaby who MUST have his way or he'll go
into a tailspin?

Yeah. Some might say so.

> attacking me for being a wrestler in high school.

I wrestled in high school. Had no experience and went out for the team
in my senior year. That was fun. HA! I had an 0 and 3 record as a JV
wrestler and quit the team. It's a great sport, but it's probably more
fun if you have some knowledge. One guy told me that I should've stuck
it out. He had a 0 and something record as well. Said that they
wrestled some REALLY LOUSY teams later on. Although I regret quitting
the team, I always got a laugh out of the idea that if I'd continued
wrestling that I could have had a winning record due to some other
schmuck's suckage as an athlete.

That's what sports typically come down to, of course. Winners and
losers. For every Jason Burnell there's a John Hanson. ;o) For every 0
and 3 quitter there's a kid who sticks it through to the end. Kudos to
the competitors, winners and losers.

Oh, pull your underpants from around your ears, Hanny! I truly admire
you for competing. You go, John. Lose to Burnell some more!

> I played lots of sports starting from a very young age.

Same here. Well, starting in high school, actually. In elementary
school I participated in field day and won a blue ribbon. Oooooh! ha

But I was more of a reader than a pass, punt, and kick kid. Won blue
ribbons and prizes in art contests, though. And, yeah, track and field
and cross country in h.s. I even earned my varsity letter the one year
in c.c. (Everyone had broken legs. No, it wasn't my fault.)

Oh, forget that. Just be nice and you've got him beat personality wise.
Hands down. )

In high school, just football and wrestling. In college, TKD and
rugby. Regular training with free weights began in college.

So I'm obviously not attacking you for being a high school wrestler.
It just doesn't qualify you for much in terms of knowing about
resistance training, especially since that was ... what ... 20 years
ago?

Let's talk about now. When was your last powerlifting competition?

I played the tuba for five years, grades 8 through 12. To this day, I find
myself noticing the bass line of any music I listen to.

#218 playing the tuba.

College tae kwon do? Was that a club or a competitve sport? And how'd
you do in that? How long did you participate? Plus didn't you say you
sat on the bench for rugby?

Let's talk about your considerable lay off from regular training with
free weights, John. The part where you grew the spare tire and the
cats, eh?

When was yours?

And what were your lifts?

Curious minds and all. From one friend to another, pal.

Lousy. Things fared better in college.

Absolutely. And then there was the last ten years. A past perspective
(which is all that Shute appears to possess) and current developments,
combined with practical experience.

I guess you probably didn't catch this post, since you were busy
becoming the most hated person in RAB at that time:

It happens. I certainly had more success in c.c. than I did in
wrestling. Although they're both fantastic sports that everyone should
have the opportunity to compete in.

I worked cumulative full-time hours in college.

1982? That's (counts on fingers) 24 years ago. Do you still practice?
If not then your comments wrt Shute are - I would not be surprised, of
course - hypocritical.

heh

That didn't keep me busy at all, actually. ;o)

And despite your skewed perspective and the protestations of certain
RABbits, I have made some good friends in that ng both online and IRL.
Just as quantity does not equal quality necessarily, so, too, loud
cries and persistent whining do not equal truth necessarily.

At least he can say that's his before pic. He didn't go from 30% plus to
16% then call others fat asses. I don't know what he is now, but anyone
male who works out and brags about being 16% while calling others fat,
needs to buy a mirror and a clue.

Here you go, dipshit:

Focus on the "to highlight an error, often for the purpose of ridicule or irony" part.

Each (sic) denotes a grammar, usage, or spelling error on your part.
