protein water?

Hi,


I read the stats on one container of protein water that claimed to have
0 calories but 20 grams of protein. I thought by definitinon protein
had about 4 calories per gram. What gives?

Most likely that you cant read ..

What brand you talking about? Stacker2's Protein water has 20 grams of
protein/80 calories.

The same site claims it has 0 calories. Here's the url:

If it's a typo on their part, that's fine. Other sites also claim the
same, but I think they're referencing this one verbatim. I thought
something was fishy about the claim.

Click on the Nutrition Info tab. They list the ingredients and it
says 80 calories. Perhaps they meant to say "added calories" on the
first page. They use an artificial sweetner to make it taste better.
Although it doesn't sound too appetizing from that description.

water doesn't have protein in it.

80 calories from whey protein isolate. Not a big deal but definitely
*some* calories. Also note the flavors. It takes a fair amount of
sour to cover up the bitter of whey protein isolate.
