Default Questions About Alli Weight Loss Pill

I was just wondering about something.

I read that new weight loss pill Alli has a side effects that if you
eat large meals of high fat foods, you could have extremely severe BM
(bowel movement) problems that include total loss of control of the
bowels, extremely loose and watery BM's (bowel movements), and liquid
that releases looking similar to that orange pizza grease with the
most horrid smell that you ever experienced. They call these
"blowouts." Alli also says to wear dark
clothing and carry a change of clothing at all times. Gads!

Has anyone experienced one of these blowout BM's (bowel movements)? I
would NEVER want something that would give me horrid smelling orange
pizza grease coming out of my rear end? What kind of person would be
this crazy?

I think it's very safe to assume that anyone who is wearing dark
clothing is on Alli! I am going to be very suspicious of them, and
get away before they have a BM blowout!

Blecch.

But I've read the same news.

It's odd that in order to avoid the side effects, a patient or Alli
imbiber would find it necessary to avoid high fat foods. Duh. If you
avoid high fat foods then the requirement for Alli might prove
unnecessary.

Kinda stupid, imo.

"If I eat lots of fat then I'll get fat, so I'll avoid fat or I can
use Alli and not worry about getting fat, but if I eat the fatty foods
will on Alli then I'll poop greasyorangegrease poop, so I'll eat low
fat food and not have to worry about the orangegreasy schtufff buuuut
if I had any willpower at all then I wouldn't need the Alli in the
first place. Otoh, maybe it's not my eating habits and maybe the fat
god has simply chosen to make me fat... you know, in his or her fat
image."

I saw Alli at Target the other day and noticed the weight chart on the
side. I thought it said that at 6'4" tall I should weigh 221 pounds.
Which I thought was pretty fair -- most charts suggest I hit something
below 200, and my head is far too large to pull that off outside of
Circus sideshows.

On closer examination I found it said I may want to consider using
Alli if I'm 6'4" and weigh 221 or above.

While I suppose having a side-show-sized head *and* explosive anal
blowouts would make me a huge attraction with Ringling Brothers ...
I'm going to pass (explosively).

It's amusing that they use it as a virtue in the ads. The argument
goes that avoidance of the soil discharge (of which they talk rather
lightheartedly, e.g. "oil on top of a pizza") serves as a check to
help one develop healthy eating habits. That supposedly works hand in
hand with medical properties of the drug on its efficacy side:

"While no one likes experiencing treatment effects, they might help
you think twice about eating questionable fat content. If you think of
it like that, alli can act like a security guard for your late-night
cravings." (myalli.com)

I also note the usage of "treatment effects" on that site to mean
adverse reactions, which avoids usage of words with negative
connotations.

Some came up with the following: "with Alli-es like this who needs
enemas". I think given the overall ads tone, and the cheerful coloring
of "alli", this and D Wells' one could actually be used in advertizing
as slogans. Kind of makes sense in a surreal way, much like smoking
prevention ads by cigarette makers.

Antabuse for fatties. But if it made them sick from eating carbs it would be
more effective.

Now THAT is a marketing department!

"Hey, Frank, yeah, this is Bob in Marketing. Uh huh, well, the
customers for our new product have all, uh, died. Yes. Mm hmm. That's
right, one-dose fatalities. Weird. No, not anticipated at all. It was
supposed to be a seasoning. Yeah, that's true. Saaay, that's a
fantastic idea. Let me get this down, Frank. 'Overpopulation a
concern? New Seasoning is Eco-Friendly!' That's perfect. Thanks,
pal."

Euphemisms Us.

There was at least one enlisted man who drank despite being on
Antabuse or an Antabuse-like drug. It's been nearly twenty years, but
that name rings a bell and, hey, the Navy has its drinkers.

And whatever became of that Leptin 'cure'?
