I hadn't given that a thought.
That 250 would been just four plates and some tens. Okay plus two 2
1/2-pound plates.
Joked with a someone about my piddly 215 squats and they shot back
encouragement that I was going all the way down and not doing like some
do - pile on the weight and then simply unlock their knees momentarily.
Honestly, it's just to parallel or slightly below, but it's lower than
many.
Not that the question was directed at me, but I do get embarrassed at
the weights I use. Although I'm not competing with anyone but me, it's
impossible not to take note of those squatting with six plates or
military pressing 225.
I use humor. Failed at 175 on the bench recently. Bah. Told my female
spotter that I was going to take up knitting instead. To make matters
worse, I found out that she is newly pregnant. Fortunately, she didn't
have to offer much assistance, but, yeah. D'OH! The counter guy scolded
her, though. She said she'd add it to her baby journal.
"Dear Baby Journal,
Bald guy failed with 175 pounds. Why, I could flip that weight with my
littlest baby finger!!!!"
