Agreed. Frankly, professional sports is disgusting. We need to
return to a Platonic sense of society -- philosopher-kings on top, and
the appetites (like sports nuts) carefully managed. |

| | | Re: Report:Michael Vick to be suspended for entire 2007 season Vick definitely isn't a "good" person, and he probably deserves to be
suspened, but DAMN...I loved watching him play. I grew a Redskins fan
(with the Giants being my second favorite team), but Michael Vick
eclipsed all previously football ties for me and my group of friends.
It was probably around 8th grade that we all fell in love with his
style of play and became Falcon's fans. He is just so much fun to
watch, and it is unfortunate that he is nothing a of role model (so
much so that he has to go and get suspended). I really wish he could
get his act together, but it just doesn't seem at all likely

Being suspended is the least of his problems, not that it's not well
deserved. He's got 7 people ready to turn on him in court detailing
the dog fighting business. He best forget about football and worry
about what his inevitable (and much deserved) prison sentence is going
to be. If he were smart he'd take a plea and go for a lesser
sentence, but I think his actions have shown just how smart he is.
