Eating your nose picking is as sensible as eating your vacuum

The point of course is that just cause it's natural, and tastes good
doesn't necessarily mean it's good for you. Lots of natural stuff out
there like some berries, fish etc. that taste good but is clearly not
healthy for you to consume. |

Ya, try eating fish caught in New England's "fresh" waters. At many
"hot-spots" you'll see the perfunctory warning labels posted on trees,
notice boards, etc. about how healthy the "fresh" fish are for you:
"Don't eat more than 1 serving of these mercury infested fish per
month", "Don't eat bass or pickerel over 12"", "Don't eat any fish if
you are a woman of child bearing years or if you are a child", in
other words, only eat these polluted fish if your are a man - we like
you stupid and drooling so we can make you our lackey.

I hate fish because if I liked it I'd eat it and I'd hate that because I

Carrying it and becoming infected are two different things.
When you're carrying the bug it's all over you, but especially up the nose
and around the naughty bits where it's nice and warm and damp, with mucus,
sweat and pheromones for it to feed on. (>!<)
HibiScrub shower solution clobbers it on one's bod, but for up the hooter I
have to use Bactroban nasal ointment (Mupirocin), especially just before I
go into hospital for anything.
It's when it gets into your tissues or bloodstream the trouble really
starts.

Some are distinctly unhealthy. I don't like fish so don't pay know
the names but I understand that there are a couple of fish that even
the experts can't always distinguish which is which. The Japanese
consider one a delicacy. The other is deadly poison to eat. |

Porcupine fish or puffer fish/blowfish.
It's only deadly if it's not prepared right.
I think I'd give it a pass. ;-) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pufferfish
I stick with the more common fresh and saltwater fish personally, mostly
catfish due to the price. Salmon, whiting, tuna and tilapia are also a
common menu item here, as well as shrimp.
Fixin' to increase the amount of Shrimp and tofu for the Tyrosine
content.

Yeah, chefs are traditionally rather excitable and you never know when you
might inadvertently offend one with the means of killing you right there on
the table. Sometimes "Oops" isn't all that good an apology.

Both tuna and tilapia are deemed to be heavily contaminated with mercury
such that pregnant women aren't supposed to eat them. Probably can't do a
lot of good for the rest of us either, especially if we played with mercury
when we were kids.
