How in carnation can you say that -- whites will remain the majority
into 2050, IIRC. They are like 70% right now; pretty substantial.

It isn't even that so much, but a swing from one erroneous way of
doing things to another. It is every bit as wrong to treat someone in
a special manner because of their Race, Color Creed, etc as it is to
treat them poorly. However, one can do whatever they want in a
negative manner towards a White Male, especially discriminate in the
workplace -- and nothing can be done about it.

It isn't what you are, but what you are able to do that should be the

I don't get the entire so-called immigration debate as it is really
nothing other then a version of racism directed at Hispanics
primarily. We are after all a nation of freakin immigrants -- most
somewhere in their past "illegal" as well. The term "WOP" used in a

Papers".

Anyone who wants to do a stint in our Armed Forces as a gateway to
citizenship should be welcomed with open arms unless we decide to go

Maybe I'm just an alien pod, but I don't feel uncomfortable just
because there are people of other races around me.

America, after all, is a melting pot. No just for white Europeans,
but for all races. If you have issues with people of other races,
you've got serious issues.

The big issue is that in the past the immigrants worked hard to become
Americans, now the immigrants don't want to learn English, the culture,

to fade & the parents lament the loss of traditions among their
children.

citizen -- paying taxes, serving in the military, hell even voting can
become a problem. However, they are not the "Big" issue many people
want to make of them from a political platform standpoint. It is more
of a racist attitude towards Hispanics -- specifically Mexicans which
makes for good air-play come election time. After all no
"Joe-Average" American wants to pay $10 a head of lettuce or spend the
day stooped over in a field.

You can recall when an Irishman or woman couldn't get work in this
country? What are you , 150 years old? Tell me how this stupid rant

One thing I want to differ with here: I am convinced that you can find
Americans who will spend all day stooped over in the fields -- only
that you must pay them adequate compensation for it. Them recent
immigration raids had everyone wondering about labor shortages, but,
sure enough, when push came to shove, legal U.S. residents and
citizens were found for the jobs, once they raised starting wages.

(Attrition is high, however, compared to the illegals -- so attracting
legals with higher wages is clearly the answer, but keeping
them...that's another problem, which can be solved with better
conditions and even higher wages [raises]....)

Which brings up the issue of the $10 head of lettuce. I think a good
$5 of it will be just profit for the capitalist, so to me the trick is
to somehow get the capitalists to not be so greedy. All this talk
about the price of labor is just a red herring. They -- the powers
that be, the business owners, the capitalists -- always talk about
rising labor costs, but the truth is that they want to keep having
their lion's share of the pie. If they divvied things up much more
