When I was in high school I wrote an article in the school newspaper
that nearly got me kicked out of the private school I attended.
Everything I said was true, but I used my connections with the nerds
that laid out the paper to get my article added without permission.
What really got me in trouble was that I used a pseudonym.

So I haven't used one since. I use my real name and email address.

Before I hit send I simply ask myself if the post would upset my wife or
my mother were they to read it. This does mean that some of my funnier
posts end up not getting sent, but it also means that I have years of
online history without posts that I am embarrassed about years later.

I'm not quite as opposed to pseudonyms as Schuh is, as there are plenty
of people on USENET that can act civilly without revealing their
identity, but there is little question that anonymity brings out the
worst in some people.

I've got the added problem of wondering if it would offend any of my
clients. My in-person persona is that of the competent servant. My own
personal hobbies, opinions and foibles aren't something I want open to
google.

Also, I've got more concern for my safety than you apparently do. I'm
responsible for not endangering the children, for example. I suppose
part of this could come from being endowed with an innate personality
that makes people want to kill me. For whatever reason, I would prefer
anonymity over pwople who know the directions to my house.

As this isn't attainable in this forum for me, I've bowed out.

Smart girl.

One who learns from her mistakes. :-)

Fortunately there are only a very few here that know who I am and they,
so far, have proven trustworthy to keep my location and identity
proprietary and gain my trust in reciprocation!

Some of my best and most trusted friends have come from usenet contacts,
including my reloading guru and some of the finest of my firearms
teachers I've actually met in person. I managed to kill a prairie dog
with my new toy I bought last fall at 430 yards... Charlie, my guru's
buddy, taught me how to properly use that rifle and it's scope.

You know I am there if you ever need me. Seriously. This e-mail works.

And, for the record, _I've_ no desire to kill you. I don't know what you
did/said to make Chas dislike you so. He and I are actually friends. I
guess I came in late in the threads or whatever. I was gone for awhile?
<shrugs> Oh well! :-)

Usenet is nothing if not elastic.

Is this you bowing out? Because you're making a lot of noise for

Again, I see no evidence of her learning.

Well, it would seem you're assured some level of safety... from a
prairie dog. And that only if the critter doesn't somehow get within
that critical 430-yard mark.

Well, if you're speaking of the record, I don't recall Charles ever
stating he wanted to kill her. And, no, I don't recall you ever saying
he did, however believed it necessary to offer that clarification...
or muddy the water additionally.

I hope your weekend's going well, Om.

No, a JOURNAL is where you go to contemplate *yourself*. Only attention-hounds and other
pathetically-needy types use a *public* forum for that purpose....

Historically, about 40% of the threads in which she has posted opine on her departures,

I thought it read fine as a parish All churches have a parish so it
made sense that a parish may have just wanted to be a parish and didn't
care what religion. He rather than they wanting to be a parish did
puzzle me a moment but I thought what the heck, this is MFW!

I'm goofing off as usual, altho' I did move Jewely's doghouse to the
front porch now that dad's old dog finally passed on. I also swept it
and cleaned it and did a little more yardwork.

I need to cook that barbacoa that is in the back 'frige. I'm
considering adding some black soybeans and making chili.

Lucas has vast historic knowledge (at least when compared to mine), so his
pun should be read in this light. I suppose he joked about the
friendliness with which the French welcomed Nazis during WWII.

Buying and enjoying a toy takes much learning? I'm no fan of guns, but
I'd really like to have the Garand a Mosin Nagant and some Lee Enfield
too.

Damn. I'm hungry and have no time to eat now. Stop it, please.

Actually I drink very little now. Once in a while several beers and
that's it. I was drunk due to uncommonly low tolerance for alcohol I
have now. Probably lowest I had since high school. ;-)

No worries mate. ;-)
You just have to post something I feel compelled to answer. I don't feel
compelled to answer all posts, even if addressed to me.

You tend to take things too personally.

<lol> I can smell the beef cheek cooking now! With onions, celery,
garlic, carrots and lemon pepper, plus a bit of chili powder and cumin.

I decided to forego the beans. I want to eat it low carb so will
probably mix it with eggs and cheese when it's done.

I know. Poor Davey!

I made some chili meat out of Barbacoa last night (or rather, early this
morning) so I'm going to mash that up now that it's cooled off enough. I
made it in the pressure cooker. I'll add some to some eggs to keep it
low carb and call it breakfast!

I have some low carb tortillas if I want to make breakfast tacos. ;-d

Reminds me of the mental patient who reported back to his
psychiatrist, "This new pill is very weird. When I take it there is no
effect on me, but other people become much nicer."
