I thought it was particularly brilliant how Dally switched a question
about deadlifts to renting a movie/s by the second reply. Sheer MFW
magic compared to now

That was about the time I subscribed to mfw. I came for the advice on weight
training; I stayed for the bantering, the mocking, the tormenting....

Dally, did you see the request from the Smithsonian Institution? Apparently
they wanted your underwear that you wore for that photo. They said they
wanted it for 'research'. Could you part company with those undergarments?

Damn straight they'd want it. That transformation was an outright
miracle. I've kept the weight off. Went to the weight room to squat on
Saturday, went to the range to do some shooting on Sunday, went running
today. I'm starting my fourth season of triathlon training, I still
squat in a cage, I've got guns to go with my dog now, and I'm still
talking about them with JMW while you spend your sorry time denigrating
your betters.

Gee, I wonder why people don't come here much anymore?

My hair is white now, by the way, I'm well into middle age. My daughter
is off to college, my eldest son is a brown belt in karate, and the
little one ran his first 5K when he was just seven. Never did join the
dojo, though ... he prefers gymnastics and swimming and running. He
asked at dinner tonight if he could do his first triathlon this summer
(he'll be nine.) We said no, but he can train with us a bit.

My husband rode his bike home from work today: 23 miles in just about an
hour. He's competing in the CT Senior Games next week-end in a
different sport entirely. We doing fabulous, thank you very much.

Congratulations . . .but why do you say those things like you are thumbing
your nose at me? I think you are a wonderful mother. But all I was really
asking about was your underclothes when you were a porker. And by the way I
dont spend any sorry time denigrating anyone - I have no sorry time. Sorry
about that

Very cool. :-)
So you have joined the ranks of female gun nuts?
Congratulations!

Where is JMW hanging out? (send via private e-mail if you are willing)

and is modeling for the Dillon Precision catalog's July cover.

The balance of the CV and more "references" on request.

Uh huh. Quite some feat, that, especially if there are any traffic lights/crossings along the way.
