Default Routine question

Hi guys, another question here. I got a set of pretty nifty powerblocks as a
gift, which got me to thinking that what I'd like to do is use them. :-)

More accurately, what I'd ideally like to do is go to the gym to do the
major lifting and then do any small muscle group stuff at home after I
return from the gym. Any thoughts on this idea? It takes me about 20 minutes
to get home after the gym, so would this break between essentially large and
small muscle groups really have an adverse effect? Or should I simply do
them on different days to avoid an issue altogether? Any tips here'd be
greatly appreciated!

Tucker

You can do whatever you want too. Some guys workout twice a day.
Time is really only a factor if you are trying to target groups of
muscles together. You might want to stretch again though. You can do
many exercises with a dumbbell so just figure out what body parts need
extra work.

What? USE them? I just keep mine under the bed to keep the floor from
moving around. Uh, assorted dumbbells versus PowerBlocks, that is.

Seriously, good on you for using your gift. Was that Christmas,
birthday, other?

So squat, deadlift, bench, pulldowns, rows (or your definition of
"major lifting") at the gym and then come home and PowerBlock it with
your curls, side laterals, front raises, overhead triceps, etc.

The break doesn't really make a difference, imo. Of course, you could
certainly do a split routine with shoulders, biceps, triceps courtesy
of your PowerBlocks while you bench, squat, etc. at the gym on a
different split day or days.

Best of luck with your training.
