Default Stone lifting for gym goers. (On Topic)

I thought I'll share this link.

As it happens I tried stone lifting. Those thingies are special. IMHO
they have an ability to stress spine in a constructive way.

While lifting something heavy IRL, it rarely happens that one is able
to do it with perfectly straight spine. Bent back lifting with
barbells never worked for me, but stone (or tightly packed sandbag) is
crush-gripped against ones abdomen and it somehow works all right.

This spine extension at the top of stone lifting movement also is some
real ass kicker.

So, whoever is bored with his current routine, above is shown how to
make a "stone" in a gym settings and how to use it.

ON topic, Andrzej? Was this really necessary? Nothing about Anna Kubit,
no mention of waist bands, nothing at all pertinent to guns, dogs, or
Tower number 7. I can't begin to express my disappointment.

If done by the instructions it will not happen. The clamp is on top,
on the bottom you have a flange.

BTW - how do you like this?

Zoinks! That's interesting. Is that eight plates on each side, plus
chains, and another plate duct-taped to the top???

What's that called, a parallel deadlift from boxes? Whoever lifted that
is what I'd call *A Beast!*

Supposedly 905lb.

I guess, they wanted to improvise a parallel bar car deadlift with a
standard trap bar.

If it was done in a rack with standard bar, it would be called rack
pull with chains, but the way they did it one may call it a bunch of
laugh.

It all went apart as he held it at lockout. ;-)

D'OH! I'll have to deduct additional reading comprehension points after
looking at the bmp's name. /905trapbar.bmp! Sheesh, dopey. Well, I'm
not perfect, but the guy who pulled that must be nearly so.

If I counted plates correctly, that's 810lb in plates alone, add the
chains, the bar assembly, and, hey, that duct tape, too...

The stone lifts on the MetRx StrongMan series are incredible. 350#, w/
nothing to grab on to.
Talk about peripheral/ancillary muscles.
