Default wearable weights and other questions

I picked up a couple of sets of 5lb ankle/wrist weights (2.5 lbs each)
the other day just to see what they are like. After wearing them on the
legs for a couple of days doing just normal stuff I noticed somewhat
more effort was needed, but not a lot. I then put 2.5 lbs on each wrist
and left them on for the evening, this was very noticeable after awhile
and I thought about them whenever I had to reach for something. There
was a couple of hours left in the evening so I strapped another 2.5 on
each arm and by the end of the evening it was quite noticeable, but
after awhile I just accepted they were on and went about doing things as
normal as possible.

Is there any gains to be had from weighing your arms down with an
additional few pounds?

I am trying to shed 15 or so pounds and gain some lean mass within the
next couple of months and thought this might be a worthwhile addition to
my twice a week free weight workouts.

Also, I heard that muscle milk is a very good (and tasty) supplement,
and I'm almost out of my old stuff. Does anyone know where it can be
bought up here north of the 49th?

thanks

putting weights on your extremities is a dumb idea - may cause
joint/connective tissie problems over time

If you're trying to loose weight don't drink muscle milk. There are
reasons it tastes good, their called calories, and it's got a lot of 'em.
If you're still interested in buying MM, try eBay. I've always found great
deals there. If you want a good protein supplement that is low calorie,
try Optimum Nutrition's Gold Standard or if you want something convenient
Stallone's protein pudding is great (tastes good too (-: ).

going to give MM a try as I seem to be a hard gainer (judging from my
last go around with regular workouts), there is a couple of online
retailers sell it here north of the 49th. Any flavour recommendations?

Strawberry banana, cookies and cream, mint chocolate chip, and chocolate
banana. Mix with skim milk, they are incredibly tasty! Avoid blueberries,
chocolate banana, and root-beer float.
