After Oscar Wilde, a gentleman is a person who never insults anyone
unintentionally. David is doing just fine, IMHO. ;-)

Dally is very proud of the changes that she has made to her body. Quite
frankly, I can't see how that's a bad thing. I would bet that if you
made a similar change to your physique you'd be happy about it too.
Heck, I know that I would be.
I personally find very little that is more inspiring than before and
after photos that show a dramatic change. Dally is basically proof that
people can change their lives for the better. If you don't feel that
way, that's fine. Keep it to yourself.
At the very least don't pretend that Dally is attacking you when anyone
with even a modicum of reading skills can see that the opposite is the
case.
As for being an attention hound, you are one to talk. You seem to spend
your time on MFW ridiculing people. It's especially sad in this
particular case because you are spending your time and effort ridiculing
a fat Dally that doesn't exist any more except in old photographs.
Hooray, Dally used to be fat, and now she's not. She's still not a
runway model[1], but she's not dead yet .

No, I'm definitely focusing more on not being dead yet. My latest hobby
is shooting. I've developed to the point where I can most likely hit
the broad side of a barn with my sweet little 20 gauge. (The clay trap
pigeons are still pretty safe, though.) :-)

Which is just further proof that you are one of that truly unique breed
of USENET posters. Very few folks on USENET are willing to admit that
they have actually changed their mind on a subject. For most posters
close-mindedness is the closest thing that they have to a virtue.

I had an epiphany. You can read it here, http://gwendally.livejournal.com/136634.html but it's long-winded. In
fact, an attribute of blogging is that it's a nice place for people to
go and contemplate their navals. There really isn't an expectation that
you're trying to be useful or entertaining. If someone wants to read
me, they do. If they don't, they don't.
USENET soured for me a few years ago. I just crave anonymity too much.
(Hey, wouldn't that make me a bad attention-hound?)

Hint: Quit trying to aim. ;-)
My skeet scores improved when I learned that.
Follow the clay with your eyes, point and fire. Keep the gun
tight against your cheek and it'll track with your eyes.
They also got better when I bought that full sized 12 gauge with the
dial-a-choke and set it on modified. My 20 gauge is a shorter barreled
full fixed choke.
It was cool that last time when I hit 6 of 6. <g> I doubt I'll ever do
that again but it sure felt good!

That was a good read. I'm not saying I agree with all of it, but I
certainly agree with the firearm bit. Being self-sufficient is also a
good thing.
In fact, looking over the list I have a hard time finding something that
I don't agree with. Well, except for the bit about preferring local
merchants and farmers. I personally don't care if my grapes come from
Chile. Of course, that's partly because I have actually lived in Chile,
and feel that those people should be able to make a living too.
It's also because I happen to like Chilean grapes. Now if only someone
would import the *huge* Chilean avocados that I love so much. The small
shrivelled things that Chileans grow for specifically export are
ridiculous.

Anonymity is over-rated. In fact, the real problem with the USENET is
that it allows anonymous psychopathic losers a bully pulpit for their
ideas. That's perhaps the one thing that Schuh and I would agree on.
If people's online activities were linked up with their real life then
they wouldn't act like such jackasses online.
Unfortunately, that's not how it works, and so, to a certain extent
posting on USENET risks exposing your life to random crazies with too
much time on their hands. I can totally understand not wanting to be
subject to that sort of abuse, but anonymity is the real problem not its
lack.

It's your usual heap of trendy lefty liberal nonsense; why you want to
seek approval for it at MFW is simply to draw attention to yourself
again!

You fill many areas of the Internet with myriad details of your
personal life, poke pointy sticks at some prominent contributors to
MFW, and then whine and whinge like a spoilt child when the inevitable
retaliation strikes home.
You must stop being so silly Wendy or you will inevitably raise your
anxiety levels again - completely voluntarily!
Have a great weekend dear lady - you know I intend to! ;o)

Damn.
That was a helluva good read. :-)
Have you considered learning shotgun shell reloading?
It's easier and less precise than brass shell reloading.

I'm still your basic old fat fuck so I have no room to talk. <g> I
still work out and eat right, but I'm too old now to care whether or not
anyone thinks I'm attractive. Gray hair seems to help you get away with
more. Hell, that good looking DA picked me for Jury service. so I must
