Default What's wrong with cross posting?

Can't see the big problem - why pretend we are here to be "on topic" - we
all know that is just not true. We are here for entertainment and to
socialize with our cyber friends - occasionally when a new person asks a
question we can demonstrate our superiority by giving the benefit of our
great knowledge and long experience. Have I got it right?
So what's wrong with cross posting? We get a wider audience and fresh blood.
