| | | YOGA RUINS ONE'S HEALTH Yoga was first introduced by forest-dwelling ascetics of India. It was
prectised by them not to improve their health, but to weaken
themselves by fasting and meditation so that they could get themselves
liberated from worldly exisrtence. It was a process of self torture
and slow death. But Yoga is being taught today by giving a false idea
that it will improve one's health. There is no scientific basis for
this claim. Many Yoga addicts die young. But to make money, an
orchestrated false propaganda is being carried out that Yoga will
improve one's health. |

| | | Re: YOGA RUINS ONE'S HEALTH As the ancient Vedic texts say:"Thus the Yogi (Yoga practitioner)
devoted his time to religious austerities with the view of mortifying
his passions. He should slide backwards and forwards on the ground; or
stand a whole day on tip-toe; or continue in motion by rising and
sitting alternately. He should increase the austerity of his devotion
by degrees, until by enduring harsher mortifications he has dried up
his bodily frame." So Yoga itself was introduced to kill passions, to
make the body weak and lean by starvation and to mortify it. But Yoga
advocates say : YOGA WILL INCREASE SEX POWER." It is just to make
money Yoga Gurus and Swamis who invade cities of the West fool the
people by saying yoga will improve your sexual activity and health.
Pooh .. Yoga has nothing to do with sex or health.

Wow now that is interesting! I tried yoga a long time ago and found it
to boring and rather useless, although it did have some perks. It made
me pretty flexible, but i was never in that good of shape while doing
it. I don't know if i would consider it killing myself tough. I
personally like weightlifting to stay in shape, theres more on that in
my blog ( http://workin-out.blogspot.com/). I do admit it did nothing
normal exercise does for my sex drive, and definitely didnt make the
deed any better! But in all seriousness I would stay away from yoga if
your really looking to get into good shape it doesn't do that much
after all. |

I think there are many forms of Yoga and each have a different suppose
example the Pranayams which helps in alleviating many body aliments
like asthma, etc. Yoga has to be done in a proper way to derive full
effects.
Thanks. |

Pranayam is another fraud. If it can cure asthma, why is it milions in
India, the birthplace of yoga, suffer from asthma, although they
practise it invoking the names of their mythological gods, numbering
about 3 million. |

So are you willing to admit that you are a homophobic bigot?

Where does "laski" make any mention of homosexual anything much less
homophobic? It seems that his opinion is that yoga is less than
masculine sport or activity and, yes, he recommends tennis to increase
muscle power that can then be used to "enjoy sex," but he never states
WHO that sex is to be enjoyed with.
What, you don't think there are effeminate heterosexual men? Actually,
the OP doesn't mention men or women. He calls yoga effeminate. Last I
knew, sport activities don't have genders and don't participate in
either homosexual or heterosexual intercourse.
Regardless, I think you've jumped the gun in your "homophobic bigot"
comment.
And was that an accusation? Just trying to keep my Libel Checklist up
to date, Rob.
Allow me to apologize in advance, however, if the, uh, UNtruncated
version of the OP's gmail account actually reads, something like,
"laskihar...i_am_a_homophobic_bigot_so_Robert_is_a bsolutely_spot_on_with_his_analysis@gmail".

If yoga increases your flexibility, that right there should help you
with sex! Or do you only do the usual three most popular positions?
Yoga -- or, rather, stretching in general -- warms me up. I know it
sounds weird, since stretching generally calms muscles -- and it does
that for me, too -- but at the same time, I really do break out in a
sweat doing it! So I really enjoy stretching out...in my gym, I'm the
only person stretching out in-between sets of bench presses or
deadlifts...I'd do some lateral raises, then do side-bends or toe-
touching while resting in-between sets...great fun!
I highly recommend incorporating yoga and yoga-like stretching into
one's workout and lifestyle. It really feels good, having all those
muscle fibers reporting feedback. To me, weight-lifting is like
protein and yoga-like stretching is like carbohydrates: you need a
balanced diet! |

There are many kinds of asthma, too, and of course a place like India
has extremely bad pollution, not to mention stress levels (which
factor into most asthmas), etc.
As well, it doesn't mean that every Indian with asthma practices yoga,
or the right kind, in the right way. But most importantly, there's
only so much that can be done in the face of industrial-strength
pollution and stress....
What the hell's your problem, anyway? It's like accusing weight-
lifitng of not helping to improve strength because so many get
injured, et cetera (the ol' "why are Americans fatter than ever
despite all the health clubs" argument). | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
