I understand your frustration. I had similar symptoms that resulted in extreme anemia and required me to be hospitalized twice for transfusions. I had an ultra sound and MRI done and was diagnosed with uterine fibroids. My OB/GYN wanted to do a hysterectomy but I wanted to keep my uterus. I am happy to say that I chose a much less invasive treatment called a U.F.E. (Uterine Fibroid Embolization). They block the arteries that feed the fibroids, so they shrink naturally. The incision was the size of a pencil lead and recovery was about one week or so. It worked and my cycles are much lighter and clot free! You can read about Fibroids and the U.F.E. procedure at:
Ask 4 UFE.com If it is not fibroids, find out what is causing the symptoms. Anemia is nothing to mess around with.
Make sure to have blood tests to make sure you are not anemic. If you are, I recommend the
Floradix Liquid Iron Supplement. It is an easy to digest liquid form of iron (yes it tastes good too) that will not constipate you and works better than any other I tried. It is available in most health food stores.
Most of these symptoms are caused by estrogen dominance, so taking estrogen can just create more long term problems. Also, eating commercial meat & dairy makes this condition worse because of all the added hormones that don't break down in the body. I learned about all this in the book called
What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Premenopause Balance Your Hormones and Your Life from Thirty to Fifty - by John R. Lee, M.D., Jesse Hanley, M.D. and Virginia Hopkins. I also started using
Life-Flo Progesterone Cream (it's paraben free) to help balance my hormone levels.
I encourage you to take care of this right away and wish you the best.
